A digital platform for participation, community and a good life in Dresden

Livi (formerly Cleema) is the app for getting involved, having your say and helping to shape things at Dresden. Every day, it offers interesting news in its magazine, highlights current events and opportunities to get involved, and invites you to take part in challenges with your family, friends or neighbours. You can put your knowledge to the test in the daily quiz.
Dresden, the state capital, thrives on the people who get involved – whether in shaping public spaces, through voluntary work or in their own neighbourhoods. The Livi app keeps Dresden’s residents informed about developments and opportunities to get involved. Features such as challenges and event announcements provide an accessible way to encourage participation in city life.

The magazine regularly publishes news on developments, events, initiatives and opportunities to get involved. With Livi, users can stay up to date with the latest news about life in Dresden.

Get out and about, try new things and find like-minded communities: the events calendar features the latest events, activities and opportunities to get involved in the region. The calendar is provided by BUND’s ‘Grünes Brett’ Dresden and Input_DD.

Livi offers not only information, but also interaction. Pre-planned challenges for everyone encourage you to get involved – or you can simply start your own challenge, perhaps with your neighbours, a club or a group of friends. The daily quiz provides surprising facts and practical tips for everyday life.

The Livi app offers the opportunity to establish a target-group-specific communication channel focusing on participation, engagement and city life, and to raise awareness of organisations or initiatives in this area. The magazine, the events calendar and the challenges provide the ideal platform for reaching out to target groups in an accessible way.

Gamification elements such as challenges and quizzes, as well as other features, can be trialled from an administrative perspective. The app is available as open source for use by other local authorities and can be further developed as required. Alternatively, other regions can log in to the existing instance and are granted regional access to regional editorial content. Thanks to regular cross-regional content, the app is always dynamic.

Feedback from users enables the impact of measures to be better understood and utilised for future projects. Using a survey tool, local authorities and institutions can specifically gather the views and needs of Dresden’s residents. Livi thus enabl smarte and digital participation to promote engagement at a local level and gather insights for the administration.

Livi showcases what clubs, initiatives and businesses have to offer in Dresden, and helps users find suitable services and points of contact. At the same time, it provides organisations with a platform to raise awareness of their work and connect with interested users.
