On 7 and 8 September 2022, the IT and Organization Forum - the Congress for Digital Administration Saxony took place for the 10th time in the conference center at Dresden airport. Under the motto "Together digitally successful", the progress of administrative digitization in municipal and state areas was presented and discussed. Around 500 employees from Saxon state and local government authorities took part.
The highlight of the ITOF was the Innovation Lounge. Here, in parallel to the conference program, successful projects from Saxon municipalities and state authorities were presented, discussed and a common vision of the administration of the future was developed. State Secretary for Digital Administration and Administrative Modernization Professor Thomas Popp also commented on this vision in the panel discussion.
The importance of a modern, citizen-friendly administration was discussed in over 40 specialist presentations. The presentations focused on user-oriented digital applications for administrative services, fully digital processing procedures and the progress made in implementing the Online Access Act (OZG). Other items on the program dealt with digital sovereignty, information security and ultimately how digital skills can be strengthened among employees and managers. The event was complemented by a specialist exhibition with over 30 stands from business and administration. For example, the digital participation platform UCODE was presented at the stand of the state capital Dresden at the pilot project Smart City Dresden , the demonstrator for the digital citizens' petition was shown at the ID-Ideal project and the plans for the new city forum were presented.
