The state capital Dresden offers a teleservice with the administration portal www.dresden.de. This portal is therefore subject to the provisions of the German Telemedia Act (TMG). In addition, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (EU GDPR) applies.
It is generally possible to use the service portal without disclosing personal data. Personal data is individual information about the personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person, i.e. in particular data that is linked to the name or from the context of which a connection can be directly established.
When accessing the portal, the following data is stored for the purpose of security checks
The data collected is deleted after a security check has been carried out and after ten days at the latest.
For statistical purposes, we use an installation of the analysis software Matomo (formerly Piwik), which is operated entirely within our data center. Complete IP addresses are not processed and are only stored in abbreviated form.

A form is available for contacting us, in which first name, surname, telephone number, e-mail address and a message can be entered. The contact form is automatically accessed in encrypted form.
A valid e-mail address must be entered to receive the newsletter. This is stored in a database and is the basis for the execution of the service.
The registered e-mail address also serves as access for the user to unsubscribe from the newsletter.

The entire website is SSL-encrypted. Encrypted data transmission prevents third parties from gaining knowledge of the data.

The pages of the administration portal contain links (branches) to other websites. Such links can be recognized by certain symbols and usually by the explicitly written Internet address. When external links are executed, a new browser window is opened if JavaScript is activated for the user.
The state capital Dresden accepts no responsibility for the content of other websites that can be accessed via links from the administration portal. The links are only checked and evaluated cursorily when they are integrated. Continuous checking of the content is neither intended nor possible.
