On November 9, the GeoSIM working group's information day took place in the plenary hall of Dresden City Hall. More than 100 employees of the city administration followed the presentation of the concept development and the seven of a total of nine individual measures of the model project Smart City Dresden (MPSC) by those responsible for the measures. After the presentations of the individual measures and during the break, there was the opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas with those responsible for the measures.
The annual information event is an opportunity for all city employees to find out about important and new topics in the field of geo and material data infrastructure management (GeoSIM) . The event offers the opportunity to get to know projects from other city departments and to make contacts. The initiator and organizer of the information event is the GeoSIM working group, which was founded in 2007. Its members are representatives of all offices that manage geodata, the so-called GDI managers. The meetings of the GeoSIM working group serve to coordinate projects and exchange experiences.
