Cleema app nominated for European Innovation Award

Great success for our Smart-City activities: The Cleema App has been nominated for the Innovation in Politics Awards 2026 in the categories Climate Protection and Digital Innovation and Governance. The award recognizes projects across Europe that use digital solutions to drive political innovation and sustainable transformation.

The winning projects are not selected by a jury of experts, but by a Europe-wide citizens' jury with over 1,000 members. The aim of the Innovation in Politics Awards is to make political innovations visible, promote the exchange of successful solutions and make tried-and-tested projects accessible across Europe. This creates a growing network of examples that can also be used in other cities and regions.

The nomination underlines how digital tools can support municipalities in implementing climate protection in a concrete, user-oriented and effective way - a central component of modern Smart cities. The winners will be announced in October 2026 in the European Capital of Democracy, Cascais.
