MPSC Dresden presents itself for the INSEK update
For the update of the Integrated Urban Development Concept (INSEK), interested parties were cordially invited to the presentation of the current status of the model project Smart City Dresden on 19.01.2026 in the AGORA of the Dresden City Forum.
Dresden develops and tests innovative approaches for future-oriented urban development in the pilot project Smart City Dresden Solutions were presented that make life in Dresden more sustainable and liveable. It also shows how digital technologies can help to overcome challenges such as the energy transition, climate change and environmentally friendly mobility.
Specifically, interested visitors were given an insight into the digital 3D heavy rain twin project, among other things. A large monitor showed a 3D replica of Dresden and animated the areas that could be damaged during heavy rainfall events. The Cleema app was also presented, in which Dresdeners can approach the topic of sustainability in a playful way. Furthermore, the so-called citizen participation kiosks had an online survey on the updating of the integrated urban development concept, which could be completed directly on site.
The topic "Smart City " was part of the "City with Performance" theme week. Using colorful balls, visitors to AGORA were able to playfully vote on which image Dresden should most strongly embody in the coming years. The choices were "Center for Work", "Smart City ", "Metropolis of the Region" and "Transport Hub". On the day of the event, the theme "Smart City " received the most votes.
