Introduction

A well-maintained urban infrastructure makes a decisive contribution to the quality of life in the city. However, the many construction sites and traffic restrictions put a strain on residents and often lead to traffic obstructions. The maintenance management project aims to reduce the need for major, lengthy construction measures and improve mobility through forward-looking planning and continuous condition monitoring.

The goal

The project aims to significantly reduce the number of major construction sites that are particularly burdensome and harmful to the environment by identifying the condition of roads at an early stage and initiating targeted maintenance measures. This should reduce CO₂ emissions and traffic obstructions and enable sustainable maintenance of the road infrastructure. A computer-aided system will provide the necessary basis for decision-making and ensure transparency.
