Introduction

A well-maintained urban infrastructure makes a decisive contribution to the quality of life in the city. However, the many construction sites and traffic restrictions put a strain on residents and often lead to traffic obstructions. The maintenance management project aims to reduce the need for major, lengthy construction measures and improve mobility through forward-looking planning and continuous condition monitoring.

The goal

The project aims to significantly reduce the number of major construction sites that are particularly burdensome and harmful to the environment by identifying the condition of roads at an early stage and initiating targeted maintenance measures. This should reduce CO₂ emissions and traffic obstructions and enable sustainable maintenance of the road infrastructure. A computer-aided system will provide the necessary basis for decision-making and ensure transparency.

What are the benefits of conservation management for the environment?

Maintenance management ensures a more sustainable infrastructure and reduces resource consumption through targeted maintenance.

How does maintenance management improve everyday life?

Preventive maintenance measures keep the roads in Dresden in good condition, making everyday life safer and more pleasant.

What new possibilities are there?

Citizens benefit from modern maintenance solutions that are implemented faster and more efficiently and ensure a reliable infrastructure.

How can I participate?

Citizens can use feedback platforms to provide input on necessary maintenance work and are informed transparently about planned construction measures.

Conservation management and environmental protection

Materials and energy are used efficiently thanks to targeted maintenance management. This means less waste of resources and a lower environmental impact. This concept promotes sustainable infrastructure that protects the environment in the long term and enables greener urban development.

Optimized infrastructure

A reliable infrastructure means greater safety and convenience in everyday life. Roads, sidewalks and public facilities are regularly checked and maintained. This reduces lengthy roadworks and traffic restrictions and keeps the city functional and safe - regardless of whether you are on foot, by bike or by car.

Opportunities for co-design

The city offers citizens digital platforms and participation formats through which they can submit concerns or suggestions for improvement directly. This allows everyone to actively contribute to improving the infrastructure and get involved in the planning process.

Transparent information

A visual representation of the road conditions provides residents with a better understanding of why certain maintenance measures become necessary over time. This means that measures can be better understood and those affected are always kept up to date.

Conservation management
Benefits for the economy

Why is the project important for the economy?

Maintenance management ensures the quality of the infrastructure, which is essential for supply chains and business processes.

What new opportunities are emerging for the economy?

The digitalization of maintenance creates new business areas and optimizes resource planning for more effective infrastructure maintenance.

How can the economy be involved?

Companies can actively participate in planning and implementation, for example through partnerships or feedback on infrastructure projects.

How does the economy benefit from conservation management?

Thanks to fewer maintenance downtimes and shorter construction measures, business operations remain stable and predictable.

Reliable infrastructure

Companies depend on a functioning infrastructure. Maintenance management ensures consistent quality through preventive maintenance and fast repairs. This ensures that supply chains and transportation routes run smoothly, which increases the efficiency of the entire business operation.

New business opportunities

The digital transformation of maintenance management offers the chance to invest in innovative technologies or participate in the development of open source software. From data-driven solutions to intelligent maintenance systems - digitalization opens up exciting opportunities.

Participation for all sectors

Business stakeholders can actively participate and have the opportunity to provide feedback or get involved in partnerships via various channels. This strengthens cooperation between the city and the business community and helps to develop the infrastructure in line with the requirements of the business world.

Efficient processes

Thanks to targeted maintenance strategies, infrastructure failures can be avoided or quickly rectified. Companies benefit from this predictability and can thus optimize their own business processes. This also reduces the costs that could arise from unforeseen construction measures.
