Smart energy model
Climate-friendly transformation of the energy supply system at Städtisches Klinikum Dresden, Friedrichstadt

Climate-friendly transformation of the energy supply system at Städtisches Klinikum Dresden, Friedrichstadt
The "Smarte energy model" is an innovative project that makes the energy supply of the municipal hospital Dresden at the Friedrichstadt site future-proof and sustainable. The components of the existing supply system supply information to the "Smarte energy model" via smarte measurement and control systems, which records consumption and yields and derives optimization algorithms. Through the intelligent networking of electricity, heat and transport, the aim is to optimize the use of renewable energies. Using modern technology such as Smart metering, sensor technology and a 5G network, the aim is not only to optimize the energy supply, but also to make it transferable to other districts and facilities.
The aim of the project is to create a climate-friendly and stable energy system that ensures long-term security of supply and reduces CO₂ emissions. Initially, the Smartenergy model will create the basis for data-based decisions so that operating costs can be reduced and the use of resources optimized. The smart energy model combines innovative technologies and digital control in order to increase the share of renewable energy supply (e.g. from photovoltaic systems) in total consumption. Optimized control reduces consumption and cuts energy costs. The project offers an exemplary solution that can serve as a model for sustainable energy infrastructures in other municipalities.
The smarte energy model at Friedrichstadt Hospital ensures greater sustainability and energy efficiency. The population benefits from a more stable energy supply, while the city's ecological footprint is reduced. The project also creates the basis for a future-proof energy infrastructure.
With the smartenergy model, the energy supply is optimized through the intelligent networking of electricity, heat and transport. This not only leads to a more efficient use of resources, but also promotes the transformation towards climate-friendly solutions in Dresden.
By disclosing energy flows and using modern technologies, energy consumption and generation become more transparent. This creates scope for innovative solutions that both improve the quality of life and make the city more environmentally friendly.
The smarte energy model supports the switch to renewable energies and shows innovative ways to achieve a sustainable energy supply. It thus makes an important contribution to climate protection and at the same time raises public awareness of resource-conserving behavior.
The smarte energy model is a flagship project that helps clinics and other companies to become more sustainable. By integrating intelligent technologies such as Smart metering and 5G networks, energy flows are controlled efficiently, enabling cost savings and optimized energy use.
With the digitalization of the energy supply, the project opens up potential for innovative business models, for example in the area of data analysis and the development of new energy solutions. Companies can use this basis to strengthen their market position and offer sustainable products.
Companies benefit from the opportunity to become directly involved in the development of smartenergy concepts. Cooperation with the city and other partners creates synergies and promotes innovation in the energy sector.
The results of the project are scalable and transferable. Hospitals, other municipalities or companies can get involved and at the same time gain valuable insights for their own sustainability strategies, which can also be applied beyond Dresden.
